So I asked everyone (everyone being just 4 of us this year) to say at least one thing they were thankful for during our Thanksgiving dinner. Mom had 3 things — big, thoughtful and heartfelt things — that she listed. Dad dittoed Grandpa, and I added one to my previous list from last year. It wasn't too terribly inventive. Which made me think, gosh, I'm actually really thankful for a ton of tiny things that probably get taken for granted. That said, here's my appended list:
- Snail mail
- Giant plastic rings
- Extra space
- Baby announcements
- Anthropologie shirts
- Puppy "fraps"
- Kerning
- Hand-made duffle bags
- Wednesday night trivia
- Space heaters
- A co-worker's return
- Skype

- Film cameras
- Bourbon & Ginger
- Birthday parties
- Long summer evenings
- Old metal furniture
- Skinny jeans on sale
- my Job
- Apologies
- College football
- Short haircuts

- Dermatologists
- 4-day vacations
- Hydrangeas
- Garage sales
- Neighborhood parties
