dancing dogwoods.

It was bitter cold Sunday morning, but it didn't stop me from taking a brisk walk through the dogwoods. My neighborhood is filled with the dance of their bright yellow and white flickering blooms.

They always remind me of the home I grew up in. We had 7 lining our backyard that I used to weave through, counting tree by tree until I dizzied myself... they were the perfect canopy to hide under and watch the light filter through. I hope one day to plant a few in my yard.

ps. these will be up in the shop shortly.

Ahhh! I am so missing the dogwoods in Atlanta. They'll be gone by the time I arrive in May for a month. Cornwall is lovely in the spring and I am so happy in my new home, but some things....well they always connect you to the place you come from.

I wonder if I can get a dogwood to grow here?

It wouldn't be spring without Ali and dogwoods, cannot even look at one without thinking of you and your favorite flowering tree-
Love these shots.

I miss seeing all the dogwoods in Atlanta. We're looking forward to our trip in May, but we'll miss seeing all these little buds opening.
