The Delicate Bloom.

Almost a year ago, I started this blog with many intentions. I wasn't sure exactly what it would morph into, but I had hoped (with eyes closed and wishes blown) that it would provide me with a creative space that would encourage happiness and resolution in my talents — an outlet outside of work for experimentation with the things that I love to do.

And I had hoped even more so that I could get to the place where I could build up the confidence to create an Etsy site, or even my own personal site... that just a few steps in a difference direction with what once was a hobby, could morph into something bigger.

Well, I'm finally getting there. Tiny little steps, but they are in the right direction. I kept wishing and wishing and wishing and I woke up today realizing that I just have to go out and grab what I want. So it's time to make it happen.

I shot this photo above last night — my favorite dahlia plant finally opened with the most delicate bloom. It will be the first in a series of photographs that I will be selling on Etsy. I plan to have the shop up in time for holiday perusing! I'm couldn't be more excited about this new endeavor, and hope you are too.

Congrats! That's so exciting. I think I know a specific mother that would love one of your prints.
